KILLING EVE
If it wasn't for COVID 19, I might never have discovered Killing Eve. Therefore I do have something to thank this horrendous pandemic for. While Killing Eve is in its third season I have just discovered it lately. Certainly, under normal circumstances I would be out and about on the town, however like many of you I am watching a lot more T.V. I love crime dramas and I love high fashion ,who would think that the two would come together. In my opinion Killing Eve is one of the best shows on television.
Killing Eve creator Phoebe Waller Bridge (Flea Bag) brings us an exciting series that follows a bored MI5 agent Eve (Sandra Oh) and her growing obsession with a female assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer). Similar to Eve's obsession I have caught up to the current third season in just a week. While the dark comedy of this series certainly appeals to my sense of humor it is the fashion that kills me. Darlings it's the fashion that always gets me.
The assassin Villanelle is a psychopath, while she feels nothing for her victims she joyously celebrates their demise by shopping for fabulous clothes. Throughout the series we witness Villanelle commit countless murders with no emotion, and then strut her stuff in the latest high fashion. While previous female assassins have been attired in latex catsuits and black trench coats, this killer wears fun bright frocks and tailored pantsuits right off the runways. Thanks to the show's three costume designers, Charlotte Mitchell, Phoebe De Gaye, and, most recently, Sam Perry, the show has featured a dizzying number of chic looks.
KILLING EVE, HOW TO LOVE FASHION TO DEATH
While, Killing Eve is a espionage crime drama, it is also part travelogue showing us the greatest cities in Europe and part high-end fashion show. Certainly, what adds to my love of this series is that it is a visual feast. therefore I've chosen my favorite fashion and how you might achieve these fabulous looks!
KILLING EVE
KILLING EVE LOOK 1
First thing to say about this look, it certainly shows the black humor of the series. In fact this number is a post homicidal show stopper. This fun cotton-candy frock won the hearts of viewers in Season 1 episode 2. The designer is Molly Goddard who lends her flair for the dramatic to Villanelle with this tulle extraganza. In fact I've searched my sources to allow you to share in the fun.

KILLING EVE LOOK 2
Here we have a floral dress that gives Villanelle the chic look of a refined hipster tourist out in the streets of Barcelona. This dress from season 3 is a hot seller ! One of my latest favorite brands The Vampire's Wife, is making a huge splash in the British and International fashion scenes. What I love about this brand is the definitive nod to fashion history while presenting something fresh and forward.

Killing Eve Look 3
Here is the look that sold me on the fashion in Killing Eve. Villanelle sports this fabulous summer weekend look while in Tuscany in season 1 episode 1. The fun frilly mint green Chloe top (custom made) is juxtaposed with cut-off denim and the classic go to Dr. Marten boots.
KILLING EVE
There is no one look that standouts more in Killing Eve than Villanelle's ability to parade a suit. Throughout the series Villanelle wears countless suits, each one with it's own special appeal. Here is a Dries Van Noten suit that was worn in the first season . How do you define chic it is with this snappy super cool suit. Elegant and sophisticated this modern edgy suit gives insight to the new suits in the fashion scene. Certainly, the cigarette leg is a sophisticated look. The attention paid to tailoring, prints and fabrics have lifted the new women's wear suits to dizzying heights . In fact gone are the days when a women's suit was just a mere copy of a man's suit, women's suits have taken on a life of their own.
Here is another great suit from season three , this Halpern suit has a psychedelic vibe bringing a retro feel that is so evident in the third season. The retro aspects of this suit include flared legs, a bold print and an exaggerated lapel giving a 1970's aura . Costume designer Sam Perry, who joined the team in the 3rd season experimented with more vintage inspired pieces .
Certainly our stylish assassin loves some hot tailoring and that is evidenced with this Dice Kayek suit. Here is a look that gives an 80s vibe with full-on runway swagger . Dressing to impress is in part about making a fashion statement and part expressing your personal style. What makes this a stand out piece is the silhouette with the over emphasized shoulder.
The classic pinstripe suit can be renewed so many ways. When looking for a classic item like a pinstripe suit find one with a twist. This twist might be an extra bold stripe, unusual color or an original cut . Here are some great suits inspired by Villanelle's fabulous style.
