YEAR OF THE PIG
Darlings Happy Lunar New Year and welcome to the year of the pig. Since I live in Vancouver Chinese New Year is a big deal. While we all love the celebrations I think it's fun to look at how fashion celebrates the year of the pig. First let's explore what the Lunar New Year is all about .
Chinese New Year, is also known as Spring Festival or Lunar New Year. Furthermore it is the grandest festival in China, with a 7-day long holiday. As the most colorful annual event, the traditional CNY celebration lasts up to two weeks, and the climax arrives around the Lunar New Year's Eve.
China during this period is dominated by iconic red lanterns, loud fireworks, massive banquets. In fact the festival even triggers exuberant celebrations across the globe.
