WHY LEOPARD PRINT IS THE MOST ICONIC PATTERN.

LEOPARD PRINT IS EVERYTHING DARLING.

My darlings leopard print has become the iconic pattern of 20th century fashion. First and foremost animal prints are not a trend. Moreover a trend is something that comes and goes , leopard skin comes but never seems to go . While it was not always this way it's a long road to becoming iconic darlings. I should know.

Hence this spotted spectacle has had some hard times on its way to icon status. In fact if you called it couture , trashy, classy, sleazy, elegant , retro or modern ,you would not be wrong. From the couture of Christian Dior to the polished look of first Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, this print was there .Of course I can also recall the leopard spandex clad Peggy Bundy and provocateur Bettie Page in a leopard bikini.

HOW TO WEAR LEOPARD PRINT

Above all else the fashionable have always found away to wear leopard print. Designers over the years have included animal prints in more seasons than not, and most were leopard. Since leopard can be as trashy as it is classy I have come up with a few rules to help you. While many may dismiss this print as just tacky, it has been a mainstay for many elegant women. In my opinion if you love this pattern wear it . Even so you may want to follow a few guidelines that will help make you successful.

First you don't have to wear leopard with black only , you can wear a statement leopard coat with most monochromatic color schemes. Therefore a beige jumpsuit or a red dress can be spiced up with a leopard pattern. Second my dears cheap often looks cheap , therefore you may need to spend a little cash to get a quality look. In the same way leopard print is popular in many vintage shops and you can find some great classic pieces without breaking the bank. Next watch the silhouette and length of a leopard dress or skirt , an ultra mini may not be right. Therefore in most cases I think with patterns like this one a midi length will keep it from being tacky.

DIANA VREELAND; I've never met a leopard print I didn't like.

Most of all wear what you love , find pieces that really speak to you. In the same way maybe you don't want a leopard skin coat, but a great pair of pumps is more you. For this reason leopard accessories are always available and you can find a great variety. In my opinion leopard print is a true classic , it can be your go to outfit , or your signature look.

There's something magical about leopard . Whether it's worn as a statement coat or a bold accessory. Invest in some great leopard pieces they will serve you well .
